Feeling Fruity - Colour Create

Where do the days fly to? It seems like I've only just blinked and yet another week has gone past. First, a quick update on my grandson Oscar. He's still doing really well. He's been off the ventilator for almost 2 weeks now. The hospital he was born in ring through to the hospital he's in now almost every day to find out how he's doing. They keep asking to take him back because they have room for him now - but I think he needs to be 2lb in weight before he will be moved. We're really hoping he reaches that weight within the next week or so because it'll be easier on everyone having him nearer home..

Anyway, on to today's card. It's Thursday so that means it is Colour Create day. Summer has truly come to colour create this week. Here's our fruity picture for inspiration. This week there is a choice of any 3 colours from strawberry, raspberry, kiwi, tangerine and blackberry. The optional extra is to incorporate fruit into your design.

I searched high an low for a fruity stamp. The best I could come up with is this one I've used before (she has fruit on her hat). I tried to colour her in with distress ink. Not a very good first attempt; it's okay from a distance but for goodness sake don't look close. If you haven't guessed, the 3 colours I chose are tangerine, kiwi and blackberry.
I added glamour dust for an extra sparkle and a couple of oranges - just to get the fruit theme going.
Remember to pop over and see all the other DT members amazing cards. Their fruity creative juices were flowing well this week.
