I said it would be a week of opposites, didn't I. After the full on distressing yesterday I'm back with clean lines and a sweet image. I wish it was summer as depicted in the image on my card because, even though it looks pretty, I'm getting a little fed up with the snow now. Brrrrr! Roll on those balmy summer days.
Today it is Colour Create day and the lovely Chris has picked a gorgeous colour combo for us. The colours are KRAFT, BLUE and WHITE with an optional extra of texture.
I'm also entering this card into:
the Papertake weekly challenge because I used their wonderful sketch as a basis for the card.
The Cupcake Craft Challenge - this week's theme is girly (I think my image is lovely and girly) I have opposites in my texture too. Softness in the flowersoft, organza and the fluffy fibre. Hardness in the metal charm & pearls, scratchiness in the stickles and bumpiness in the embossing.
I'd seen a brilliant tutorial in this month's Craft Stamper Magazine on grungepaper roses. I don't have any grungepaper but I thought I'd try the technique out on normal white card, with distress inks, glimmer mist and a flower stamp. Here is the result.
The challenge is sponsored by the Rubber Room and there is a $20 Canadian to be won to spend in their store.
Please look at the fantastic cards made by the design team. Those girls just keep on amazing me with their beautiful work every challenge.
