Did I make this card on a grey, rainy day when I was wishing for some lovely yellow sunshine? Probably. But the reason I chose these colours are because they really remind me of school uniforms. As lots of people are getting ready to send their children back to school, that is one of the themes at the Pixie Cottage challenge today. The other part of the challenge (optional) is a lovely sketch. I had to use Apple Hannah as the image for my DT card because every good boy and girl should give their teacher an apple.
I'm also entering this into the following challenges:
Frosted Designs - Back to school challenge
The Character Cafe - Dimensional Glaze (on the boots and apples)
Paper Cutz - Anything Goes
Stampin' for the weekend - Anything Goes
Theme Thursday - Children
Image: Pixie Cottage, Apple Hannah
Papers: Tim Holtz and Laura Ashley
Distress inks: Mustard Seed, Pumice Stone, Antique Linen, Tattered Rose, Black Soot, Shabby Shutters, Fired Brick Red, Brushed Corduroy
Ribbon from stash.
The rest of the Pixie Cottage DT have really gone to town on their back to school makes; I think they were a bit inspired by the non-card creations from the last challenge. There are some fabulous things that they have made.
Thanks for looking,
