This is a bit of a different image for me today; it's not my usual type but I really enjoyed colouring it and in real life my card looks super! So, we're heading down a bit of a traditional and vintage way today.
It's time for the next Pixie Cottage challenge and the themes today are a sketch and recycle. For my DT card I've used the sketch this week and the little bit of recycling comes in the ribbon I added to the card which was something I salvaged from a present last year.
I'm entering this into the following challenges:
A Spoonfull of Sugar - relish to embellish
Wild Orchid Crafts - Classic Christmas
Kaboodle Doodles - Make it Vintage
The Secret Crafter - Anything that flies
Incy Wincy - Anything Goes
Stamp With Fun - All that can fly
Fussy and Fancy - Winter Wonderland
Top Tip Tuesday - Christmas Inspired
Inky Impressions - Add Flowers
My card uses one of the fantastic set of 4 bird images from the Pixie Cottage. These are a new set of stamps by ArTish and you can buy them with the mount added or unmounted if you prefer your stamps that way. You can buy them as a set of 4, or as an individual stamp too.
This one is the red cardinal and although it's not a native bird in the UK it makes a fantastic Christmas card.
The poinsettias that I added to this card are from a stamp I bought a couple of years ago, but I never used it. I just stamped out several of them, and then coloured, cut out and layered them up. A nice cheap way of embellishing a card!
Hope you'll all join in the fun of recycling with us this week. Don't forget to take a peek at the amazing makes the rest of the DT have created with the sketch and recycled items.
Thanks for looking,
